Athlete sponsorship

Sponsor an athlete. Own the breakthrough.

Put your brand on an athlete's journey — their profile, their kit, their story. Pick a package on any athlete profile, they approve it, and ralli brokers the agreement end to end. Your payment is held securely and only released as deliverables land.

The athlete receives their full agreed fee. Your brand pays a separately itemised 15% brokerage fee (minimum $250) on top. No charge until you sign.

How it works

From request to activation in days, not months.

A typical sponsorship moves from request to signed agreement in 2–7 days. We email you at every step — no chasing required.

01

Request

Hit 'Sponsor' on any athlete profile. Pick a package, duration and budget.

02

Consent

The athlete — or their guardian for under-18s — reviews and confirms they're in.

03

Proposal

ralli drafts a one-page proposal. Nothing reaches you until our team has approved it.

04

Sign & pay

Accept, sign by typing your name and pay online. Payment is held securely by ralli.

05

Activate

Funds release to the athlete as each agreed deliverable is completed. Impact reported.

A deal, start to finish

What the brand, the athlete and ralli each see.

Every step has one clear owner, and everyone is kept in the loop by email.

Illustrative example: Summit Outdoor Co. sponsors Sofia Marlow for six months. Both are fictional. Athlete fee $6,000 · brand-paid brokerage $900 · brand total $6,900.
  1. 1

    Request

    Brand

Summit Outdoor Co. picks the Performance Partner package on Sofia Marlow's profile and sends a short request.

    Athlete

Nothing yet — no one contacts the athlete until ralli has checked the brand.

    ralli

Checks the brand is genuine, a good fit and has a realistic budget.

  2. 2

    Athlete says yes

    Brand

Gets an email confirming the request is being reviewed.

    Athlete

Gets the offer with the full $6,000 fee and deliverables. Accepts, asks a question or declines. Under-18s: the guardian decides.

    ralli

Sends a gentle reminder after 48 hours if there's no reply.

  3. 3

    Proposal

    Brand

    Receives a proposal: $6,000 athlete fee + $900 brokerage (15%, $250 minimum) = $6,900. Can sign or counter.

    Athlete

Sees the deal move to “In negotiation”.

    ralli

Approves the proposal before anything reaches the brand. Nudges the brand if it's unsigned after 5 days.

  4. 4

    Sign & pay

    Brand

Signs and pays $6,900 by card. The money is held by ralli, not the athlete.

    Athlete

Countersigns from the Sponsorships page — reminded after 3 days if needed.

    ralli

Approves the fully signed agreement and tells the brand it's live.

  5. 5

    Deliver

    Brand

Opens a private progress page (no login) showing each deliverable and a link to the finished work.

    Athlete

Taps “Mark as done” and adds a link for each piece of work. Gets a friendly heads-up if a date slips.

    ralli

Checks each piece of work, then emails the brand when it's complete.

  6. 6

    Get paid & wrap up

    Brand

Gets a recap of everything delivered, with links, plus an easy way to renew.

    Athlete

$1,200 lands in their ralli wallet as each of five deliverables is approved — $6,000 in total.

    ralli

Releases each payment with one tap; the deal closes automatically when the last one is paid.

If plans change: injuries or missed work are rescheduled or refunded to the brand; a brand cancelling before work starts gets the athlete fee back in full.

Packages

Three starting points. Fully customisable.

Packages set the shape of the deal — deliverables, duration and indicative cost. The final agreement is always shaped with the athlete and confirmed before you sign. Prices shown are indicative athlete fees; a separately itemised 15% brand-paid brokerage fee (minimum $250) is added on top.

Know before you commit

Estimated reach, shown up front.

Followers don't equal reach — so every sponsorship request shows an estimated monthly impressions range instead. It combines the athlete's following with typical organic reach rates and posting cadence for their audience size.

  • A realistic range, not a vanity follower count
  • Shown next to the athlete's photo, sport and country in the request
  • Compare athletes on like-for-like potential impressions
  • A guide for planning — never a guarantee of views

The fine print, minus the fine print

Built to protect both sides.

ralli brokers the deal

We introduce, shape terms, handle contracting and payment, then report on delivery. No retainers — a separately itemised 15% brand-paid brokerage fee (minimum $250), on top of the athlete’s agreed fee.

Athlete approval required

Every request goes to the athlete and their guardian or agent. They can approve, decline or walk away before signing.

3-partner cap per athlete

Athletes hold up to 3 concurrent official sponsors so your brand is never lost in a crowd.

Payment held, released on delivery

Your payment is held by ralli and released to the athlete as each deliverable is completed. If something isn't delivered, the unreleased balance comes back to you.

Estimated reach up front

Every request shows an estimated monthly impressions range based on the athlete's following and posting cadence — before you commit a dollar.

Term & renewal

One-off through to 12 months. Renewal is always a fresh conversation — never automatic.

FAQ

Common questions about sponsorship.

Who pays the brokerage fee?

For new sponsorships, the brand pays a separately itemised 15% brokerage fee (minimum $250) on top of the agreed athlete fee. A $6,000 athlete fee means $900 brokerage and a $6,900 brand total; on a $1,000 athlete fee the $250 minimum applies, for a $1,250 brand total. The athlete receives their full agreed fee as approved deliverables are completed. Existing agreements keep their original terms. Ordinary backing remains separate: 85% goes to the athlete and 15% to ralli.

How do I sponsor a specific athlete?

Open their profile and hit 'Sponsor'. Choose a package (Community, Performance, Principal or custom), a duration and an indicative budget. It comes straight to the ralli partnerships team, who broker the agreement with the athlete and their team.

How is my money protected?

Payment is held by ralli — not paid straight to the athlete. Funds release only as each agreed deliverable is completed. If a deliverable never lands, the unreleased balance is returned.

What does 'estimated reach' actually mean?

It's an estimated monthly impressions range — the athlete's follower count combined with typical organic reach rates and posting cadence. It's a guide to compare athletes, not a guarantee of views.

What if the athlete declines?

No cost, no awkwardness. You're never charged until an agreement is signed — a declined request simply closes, and we can suggest similar athletes in the same sport or region.

Can I sponsor more than one athlete?

Absolutely — many partners run a small roster across different sports or regions. Each deal is scoped and signed separately so expectations stay clear.

Is this the same as corporate membership?

No. A one-off sponsor follows their deal through a secure Sponsorship Hub link — no account needed. Corporate members receive a full login for managing multiple athletes, funding, reporting and rewards. They work well together, but you can do either on its own.
