Under-18 athletes can go live on ralli and start earning from day one. A parent or guardian handles the wallet, verification and withdrawals until the athlete turns 18 — so the athlete stays focused on their sport.
Why guardians?
Financial regulations in the UK, US and most of the EU require an adult to complete identity verification (KYC) before funds can be paid out to an account linked to a minor. Stripe — who process every ralli payout — enforce this by law.
Rather than block under-18 athletes from joining, ralli splits the account cleanly. The athlete owns everything public — their profile, posts, milestones and community. The guardian owns the wallet — verification, bank details and withdrawals.
When the athlete turns 18, they take over the wallet themselves and the guardian's role naturally winds down.
The flow
The most common route: a parent or guardian applies on their child's behalf and manages everything from one account.
On the apply form, pick “I’m a parent / guardian” in the first step. You’ll fill in your child’s sport, goals and achievements, plus your own details and consent — about 5 minutes.
We verify the athlete and email you the decision, usually within a few days. Their profile then goes live and they can start collecting Founding Backers straight away.
From your guardian dashboard you complete Stripe identity verification in your own name. Have your ID and bank details handy — you can save and come back at any point.
Post updates, submit milestones and withdraw funds from your account. The athlete stays focused on training — and every approved milestone rewards their backers.
Already applied?
Plenty of older teens apply themselves and bring a parent in later. Nothing is lost — the accounts link together in a couple of taps.
Anyone 13 or over can apply themselves — same form, same review. Their profile goes live on approval and they can start collecting backers straight away, no guardian needed yet.
From the wallet page they send a secure magic-link invite, pre-filled with the guardian email from their application.
You create an account from the link using that same email and are instantly linked — no support ticket, no waiting.
You complete Stripe verification and withdrawals open up. From then on it works exactly like the guardian dashboard below.

This is the guardian view. Each child you manage gets their own card with a live wallet status, quick links to their public profile and one-tap access to payouts.

Siblings sit side by side under one login — switch between them anywhere on ralli.
Invite your athlete to their own login — same rights as you, wallet still yours.
Ages 13–17
The moment your athlete turns 13, you can invite them to their own ralli login. They get the same rights as you — you don't lose anything, and you don't have to hand the account over. The payout wallet stays guardian-only until 18.
From your guardian dashboard, enter your athlete’s email address. One tap.
They sign up with that exact email and the profile links automatically — no codes to copy.
Two logins, one profile. Either of you can post updates, submit milestones and reply to backers.
Guardian-managed only. You run the full athlete experience on their behalf — profile, milestones, referrals, growth hub — and backer messages are guardian-monitored.
Optional shared access. Both logins have equal rights over the profile. You can remove their login at any time. Wallet, bank details and withdrawals stay guardian-only.
Full handover. We prompt you both, the athlete completes their own verification and takes over the wallet. Your guardian link is retired.
Who controls what
Control shifts as the athlete grows. For ages 7–12 the guardian does everything except the athlete's own training — including uploading every photo and submitting every milestone. From 13 the athlete can have their own login with equal rights over the profile, while the wallet stays guardian-only until 18.

Guardian uploads all photos and submits all milestones for ages 7–12. Shared = guardian and athlete both have access. Wallet, bank details and withdrawals stay guardian-only until 18.
All identity verification is handled directly by Stripe, the same regulated payment infrastructure used by millions of businesses. Ralli never sees ID documents.
Wallet balances live in Stripe-managed accounts. Only the verified guardian (or the athlete after 18) can authorise a withdrawal. Ralli staff cannot move funds.
When the athlete turns 18, they complete their own KYC and take full control of the wallet. The guardian link retires automatically.
FAQ
The account automatically transitions. The athlete completes their own Stripe KYC and takes full control of the wallet. The guardian link is retained in read-only history but no longer required.
No — it's optional. Plenty of guardians keep managing the profile right through to 18. Shared access just means both of you can post updates, submit milestones and reply to backers. You can invite or remove their login at any time from your guardian dashboard.
No. Shared access adds a second login to the same profile — it never removes yours. You both have identical rights over the profile, and the wallet, bank details and withdrawals stay guardian-only until they turn 18.
Yes. Contact ralli support and we'll revoke the current guardian link and issue a new invite. The athlete's profile, backers and earnings are unaffected.
Yes — the athlete sees their full wallet balance, ARP history and Reward Pool payouts in real time. The guardian simply authorises the transfer to a nominated bank account.
No. Fees are identical to standard adult athlete accounts. Stripe's KYC is free and handled directly between the guardian and Stripe.
No. All funds sit in Stripe-managed accounts. Ralli cannot move money in or out of a wallet — only the verified guardian (or the athlete once 18) can authorise a withdrawal.
That's fine — the athlete profile can still go live and collect backers. The guardian invite is only needed at the point of wallet activation and first withdrawal.
Yes. Add each child from your guardian dashboard and they'll appear side by side under the same login, each with their own profile, wallet and payout status.
Athletes: apply now and go live. Guardians: use the invite link sent by your athlete to activate the wallet.
