If you are handing over $25 a month to back athletes, you deserve to know — down to the cent — where it goes. Most funding platforms make this deliberately vague. We do the opposite.
This post is the transparent, unglamorous accounting of what happens to a ralli membership dollar from the moment it leaves your card to the moment it lands in an athlete's bank account. If you have ever wondered "how much of my money actually reaches the athlete?", this is the answer.
The headline split — 70 / 10 / 20
Of every membership dollar that comes through ralli:
- 70 cents is available for athlete funding (via Credits you allocate)
- 10 cents funds the ralli Vault — the rewards ecosystem that gives you something back for backing
- 20 cents powers platform operations and growth — verification, onboarding, support, hosting, advertising, marketing, ambassadors, and the infrastructure that keeps everything running
That ratio is fixed. It does not shift with volume, it does not change with membership tier, and it is not "up to 70%". It is 70% / 10% / 20%.
How Credits translate to real cash
Every dollar of your 70% athlete-funding portion is issued to you as Credits. Credits are ralli's internal unit of allocation — you decide which athlete gets them.
The conversion is straightforward: 1 Credit = $0.70 in athlete funding. So a $25/month membership gives you $25 × 70% = $17.50 in athlete funding value, issued as 25 Credits.
When you allocate 25 Credits to an athlete, $17.50 is earmarked in their funding pool. That money is theirs — available to withdraw whenever they need it for an approved sport-related expense.
Payout cadence — how athletes actually get paid
Athletes request withdrawals when they need them for sport-related expenses — coaching, travel, equipment, competition fees, and more. Every request is reviewed and approved by ralli to make sure it is a genuine sporting cost.
Once approved, funds are paid straight into the athlete's nominated bank account via Stripe Express payouts. The money typically lands within 3–5 business days. No monthly cutoff, no waiting period — just fast, transparent access to the funding their backers have allocated.
Payouts are made in the athlete's home currency, straight to a verified bank account in their name (or their guardian's name, for under-18 athletes).
The 10% — Vault rewards ecosystem
The 10% Vault portion is not profit. It is reinvested directly into the rewards side of the platform:
- Vault inventory — the merch, memorabilia, experiences and vouchers you can redeem with ralli Rewards™
- Partner drops — the F1 paddock passes, Wimbledon tickets, brand collaborations
The 20% — Operations & platform growth
The 20% operations portion keeps the entire platform running and growing:
- Fulfilment and shipping — packing, postage, tracking, returns
- Payment processing — card fees, chargebacks, currency conversion
- Platform operations — verification team, moderation, athlete onboarding, member support, hosting
- Advertising, marketing and ambassadors — growing the community so the flywheel keeps spinning and every athlete gets more visibility
In other words: the 10% and 20% together are what make the 70% actually work. Without them there is no verification, no Vault, no payouts infrastructure, and no rewards to earn.
What we do NOT do with your money
Just as important as where it goes is where it does not go:
- We do not take a percentage of athlete payouts. The athlete gets 100% of what you allocated, net of standard bank transfer fees the athlete's bank charges on receipt.
- We do not sell your personal data. Ever. To anyone.
- We do not run affiliate skims on Vault redemptions. If a partner drop costs us $80, that $80 comes out of the Vault and operations pool. You are not paying twice.
- We do not hold funds indefinitely. Unallocated Credits roll over month to month while your membership is active, but they are always yours to allocate — not ours to hold.
Withdrawal, refunds and cancellation
You can cancel your membership any time. Cancellation stops future billing immediately. Credits you have already allocated to athletes remain allocated — you cannot claw back money already committed to an athlete's funding pool. Credits that are unallocated at the moment of cancellation stay in your account for 30 days in case you re-activate; after that they are converted into the Vault pool.
Refunds on membership payments are handled case-by-case within 14 days of the charge. We do not do retrospective refunds on Credits that have already been allocated to athletes.
Every transaction is logged
Members can see, at any time, from their dashboard:
- Every Credit purchase, its date and amount
- Every allocation they have made, to which athlete, when
- Every ralli Reward™ earned and its source (allocation, milestone payout, campaign)
- Every Vault redemption they have made
Athletes see the mirror side: every allocation received, every withdrawal request, every approval, and every completed payout.
Independent oversight
Membership revenue and athlete withdrawals are reconciled regularly. Athletes can request a full statement of their funding pool activity at any time. We publish aggregate platform metrics — total funding paid out, number of athletes funded, average payout — on the About page and update them quarterly.
The one-line version
You pay $25. $17.50 becomes real money for the athlete of your choice. $2.50 funds the Vault rewards ecosystem. $5.00 powers platform operations, verification, shipping, marketing, and community growth. No skim. No surprise deductions. No opacity.
That is the deal. It has always been the deal. And it will still be the deal at $50 million ARR just as much as it is today.
