One of the most common questions we get from athletes is: "Why was not my milestone approved?" The answer usually comes down to one word: verification.
At ralli, a milestone is not just a good result. It is a verified, evidence-backed step forward in your athletic journey. Verification exists to protect the athletes, the members, and the integrity of the whole platform. Here is exactly how it works.
What 'verified' means
A verified milestone is a performance or achievement that we can confirm from an official source. That might be a national federation, an event results page, a competition entry system, a published rankings list, or a governing body database.
Training sessions, private time trials, and screenshots of a stopwatch app do not qualify. We love the grind, but milestones need to be attached to real competition or official recognition so that every member backing you can trust the outcome.
Common milestone types
Personal best (PB)
A PB must be set in an official event, not training. It must be published on an official results page or governing body site. We also keep your previous PB on file, so any new PB request for the same sport must be an improvement on the last verified mark.
National or representative selection
A selection to a national team, state squad, academy, or representative side must be verifiable through the team announcement, federation website, or official correspondence.
Competition placing
Top finishes at recognised events must be supported by official results. If you placed top 10, top 3, or won a medal, the event results page should say so.
Club or regional honours
Things like club captaincy, club champion, or regional awards need to come from a verifiable source — the club's official channels, regional body, or a competition organiser.
What evidence to submit
The stronger your evidence, the faster we can approve. Good evidence includes:
- A direct link to the official results page
- A screenshot from a governing body or federation site
- Official correspondence or selection letters
- Links to national ranking databases
- Competition entries with your name and result
If the source is not publicly available, we may ask for more information. You can upload screenshots and share links directly in the milestone response flow, so we can review everything in one place.
Why we sometimes ask for more information
When our team cannot verify the source from what you submitted, we will request more information. This is not a rejection. It means we want to approve it — we just need to be sure. You will get a notification, and you can respond with extra screenshots, links, or context.
When the extra information comes back and the milestone is approved, the same celebration is triggered: your backers earn ralli Rewards™ points, your profile is updated, and your rating improves.
What happens if a milestone is rejected
If we cannot verify a milestone after review, we will explain why. Common reasons include: unofficial event, unverifiable source, duplicate milestone, or a PB that is not actually a progression from your last verified mark.
If you disagree with the decision, you can create a support ticket to dispute it. We review disputes carefully and are always happy to look again if new evidence becomes available.
Why verification matters for everyone
Verified milestones are the engine of ralli. They determine your rating, unlock funding tiers, and trigger rewards for your backers. If we let unverified claims through, the whole system breaks. Members lose trust, rewards lose meaning, and the athletes who follow the rules get undercut.
Verification is not bureaucracy. It is the promise that when you say you achieved something, the whole community can believe it.
Submit your next milestone
